Wow. I don't know what to say. It's hard for me to put how I feel about this movie into words. I actually didn't love Avengers: Infinity War when I rewatched it, and I was afraid that I might leave Endgame feeling the same way. I was impressed by how fast the movie went by for being three hours long. Although longer movies are seemingly more popular, typically they seem to be movies that were just dragged out more than needed be. With so much ground to cover in this film, I had the feeling that it wouldn’t feel unnecessarily slow; however, it exceeded my expectations in that regard. Furthermore, my predictions as to who would survive mostly came true, and yet the story still managed to surprise me as to how things actually happened. To a certain extent, things felt included and not explained, like *spoiler* the alternate reality Loki getting the Tesseract and disappearing *end of spoiler.* With the approach of the Disney streaming service and all of their Marvel shows, I believe (at least, hope) that that was intentional.
Endings are always the most bittersweet. A story that has spanned over half my life has come to a conclusion, and while I readily admit to crying, I feel reassured by the successful completion of the Infinity Saga. Here’s to the future of the MCU.
